Do you struggle with movement? Not sure what ‘perfect lines’ are or how to move your arms nicely in the air? This class is perfectly for you! Designed to teach those with little or no dance experience how to extend, move and dance through the air! Working on basic dance techniques to develop leg strength and extension for beautiful pointed toes and straight legs, you will also learn how to move across the floor with style and understand how to work with music through basic dance choreography.
Core control and body awareness is so important for aerial. Acro skills will not only help your balance and co-ordination but will give you an awareness of your body you never thought was possible. Focusing on basic gymnastic skills such as handstands, front and back walkovers and cartwheels will help not only to build strength and flexibility but improve your posies and help you to hold your body correctly in the air. For those more advanced this is a great class to keep your skills up to scratch and you will be challenged with more difficult skills. The class will offer a mixture of gymnastic skills including handstands, acro- balance/adagio and tumbling.
Run by awesome personal trainer & local fitness guru Abbey-Rose Rywak, these classes are for those wanting to increase their fitness & strength for aerials! The class is programmed specifically for aerialists to help build strength in the right areas to help you fly! Its also a great cross trainer for more advanced aerialists to help correct any imbalances & maintain overall fitness! Highly recommend for beginners or anyone who struggles with their strength or wishes to get stronger!
Tip- Schedule this class on a different night to your regular aerial class to get the greatest benefits otherwise you may struggle to get through both classes.
